一見勝之

Katsuyuki Ichimi is the Governor of Mie Prefecture, currently serving his second term. Born in Kameyama, Mie, he graduated from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Law and began his career as a bureaucrat in the Ministry of Transport, which later became the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Throughout his career, he held significant positions including Deputy Commissioner of the Japan Coast Guard and Director-General of the Road Transport Bureau. He was first elected as Governor of Mie in 2021 and secured re-election in 2025. As governor, he has focused on regional development, tourism, and administrative management, drawing on his extensive experience in national infrastructure and transport policy.
