Yoshimi Yoshimura is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Tondabayashi in Osaka Prefecture. Born in 1964, he began his political career in 1991 when he was elected to the Tondabayashi City Council at the age of 26, becoming the youngest council member in Osaka at the time. He subsequently served four terms as a member of the Osaka Prefectural Assembly before being elected mayor in 2019. During his tenure as mayor, he has focused on local administration and social policy, including the introduction of a partnership oath system for same-sex couples in 2020. He was re-elected unopposed for a second term in 2023.
