Born in Isehara in 1967, he completed his graduate studies at Kanagawa Dental University and previously worked as a dentist, operating his own clinic in the city. Before his election as mayor in September 2024, he served as a member of the Isehara City Council. Running as an independent candidate with support from the Liberal Democratic Party, the Constitutional Democratic Party, and Komeito, he campaigned on platforms including the extension of healthy life expectancy and local economic revitalization.
