藤井栄一郎

Eiichiro Fujii is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Shiraoka City in Saitama Prefecture. Born in 1954 in Shiraoka, he began his career working for the Saitama Bank, where he eventually served as a branch manager before retiring at age 48. Following his banking career, he managed a golf practice facility and became involved in local community activities. Fujii entered politics in 2011 when he was elected to the Shiraoka Town Council, later serving as its chairman. He was first elected mayor in 2020 and successfully secured a second term in 2024. As an independent politician, he has focused on local development and community-led governance.
