Takahiro Kuze is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Handa, Aichi Prefecture. Born in 1974, he graduated from Nagoya University with a degree in molecular science and engineering before working at Tokai Rika. He began his political career as a member of the Handa City Council in 2007, where he served for four terms and held the position of council chair. Elected mayor in 2021 and re-elected in 2025, his administration has focused on economic relief measures, including public transit subsidies and the implementation of a partnership and family-ship oath system for LGBT couples.
