Katsuhisa Sasaki is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Sabae City in Fukui Prefecture. Born in Yamanashi Prefecture, he previously worked for Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) before entering local politics. He served four terms as a member of the Sabae City Council starting in 2007. In 2020, he was elected as mayor and was subsequently re-elected unopposed in 2024. During his tenure, his administration faced scrutiny regarding the procurement process for a new waste incineration facility, which led to the establishment of a municipal investigative committee; however, he was later cleared of wrongdoing by the Fukui District Public Prosecutors Office.
