Ken Nishimoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Buzen, Fukuoka Prefecture, having assumed office in April 2025. Born in Buzen in 1979, he previously served as a member of the Fukuoka Prefectural Assembly for four terms, representing the Chikujo District and Buzen City constituency. Before entering politics, he worked for an airline and served as a secretary to a member of the National Diet. He holds a degree from Tokushima Bunri University and completed graduate studies at Meiji University. In the 2025 mayoral election, he ran as an independent candidate and successfully defeated the incumbent to secure his first term as mayor.
