Kensuke Ishida is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Odate City, Akita Prefecture. Born in 1997, he previously worked for Tokyo Metro and DMM.com before founding the company TOMUSHI, which focused on insect-based organic waste processing. He entered politics in 2023, winning a seat on the Odate City Council as the youngest candidate. In September 2024, he was elected as the Mayor of Odate, becoming the youngest incumbent mayor in Japan at the age of 27.
