Kim Jin-tae is a South Korean politician currently serving as the Governor of Gangwon State. Born in Chuncheon in 1964, he began his career as a prosecutor after graduating from Seoul National University and passing the judicial examination. He served two terms as a member of the National Assembly from 2012 to 2020, representing the Chuncheon constituency. Known for his conservative political stances, he was elected as the 39th Governor of Gangwon Province in 2022 and became the first Governor of the newly established Gangwon State in 2023.
