Klaas Sloots

Klaas Sloots is a Dutch politician and administrator who has served as the Mayor of Stadskanaal since January 2021. Before his current role, he held various positions in law enforcement, including serving as a district chief for the police in Twente. He later transitioned into local government, serving as a municipal secretary and as an alderman in Zwolle from 2018 to 2021, where his portfolio included finance and social welfare. Sloots is a member of the GreenLeft party and was nominated for the 'Best Local Administrator' award in 2021.
