Rosan Kocken

Rosan Kocken is a Dutch politician and jurist who has served as the Mayor of De Ronde Venen since November 2025. Before assuming her current mayoral role, she was a provincial executive (gedeputeerde) for North Holland from 2022 to 2025, where she focused on climate, energy transition, and nature conservation. Previously, she served as a member of the Provincial Council of North Holland starting in 2015, eventually becoming the GreenLeft faction leader. Kocken began her professional career as a criminal defense lawyer after studying law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
