Yoshihiro Kawano is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in Fukuoka in 1977, he began his career in the banking sector at Tokyo-Mitsubishi Bank before transitioning to a role at Marubeni Corporation. He entered national politics in 2013, serving two terms in the House of Councillors, where he held positions including Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and Chair of the Committee on General Affairs. In 2026, he was elected to the House of Representatives representing the Kyushu proportional block as part of the Centrist Reform Alliance. Throughout his career, he has focused on agricultural and disaster prevention policies while maintaining a stance against the revision of Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution.
