辰巳孝太郎

Kotaro Tatsumi is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Kinki proportional representation block. Before his election to the lower house, he served one term as a member of the House of Councillors from 2013 to 2019. Born in Osaka, he studied at Emerson College in the United States and worked as a film critic and radio personality before entering politics. A member of the Japanese Communist Party, Tatsumi is known for his opposition to constitutional revision, the expansion of defense spending, and the integration of casinos, while advocating for progressive social policies such as same-sex marriage and the introduction of selective separate surnames for married couples.
