Kristina Ortez is an American politician and non-profit executive currently serving as a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives for the 42nd district. Raised in a farming community in California's San Joaquin Valley, she holds a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of New Mexico. Prior to her election in 2020, she served as the executive director of the Taos Land Trust. She assumed office in January 2021 and continues to represent her constituents in the state legislature.
