Kristopher Leask

Kristopher Leask is a Scottish politician serving as a Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Highlands and Islands region since May 2026. Before his election to the Scottish Parliament, he served as a councillor for the Kirkwall West and Orphir ward on the Orkney Islands Council, where he focused on net zero, decarbonisation, and development planning. An advocate for youth engagement in civic leadership, Leask co-authored reports on young people's participation in local government. He holds an MSc in Renewable Energy Development from Heriot-Watt University and previously worked as a policy manager for Community Energy Scotland.
