Kuldip Singh Sahota, Baron Sahota, is a British Labour Party politician and life peer who has served in the House of Lords since 2022. Born in India, he moved to England in 1966 and spent 15 years working at the GKN Sankey factory in Telford. Sahota served as a councillor on the Telford and Wrekin Council from 2001 to 2023, including a tenure as council leader from 2011 to 2016. Throughout his career, he has been an active trade unionist and a dedicated public servant in the Shropshire region. In addition to his political work, he produced a documentary regarding the 1919 Amritsar Massacre.
