種部 恭子

Kyoko Tanebe is a Japanese politician and obstetrician-gynecologist serving as a member of the Toyama Prefectural Assembly. Born in Toyama City, she graduated from the University of Toyama (formerly Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University) and built a career in medicine, serving as a hospital department head and clinic director. Motivated by her experiences with gender bias in the medical field, she entered politics to advocate for women's health, sex education, and gender equality. She is a member of the Liberal Democratic Party and has been active in promoting HPV vaccination and reproductive health policy.
