Papp László

László Papp is a Hungarian politician and lawyer who has served as the Mayor of Debrecen since 2014. Born in 1972 in Csenger, he earned his law degree from the University of Miskolc in 1996 and later established a private law practice in Debrecen. His political career began in 1998 when he was elected as a local government representative. Before becoming mayor, he served as the deputy mayor responsible for business assets and urban strategy starting in 2010. He is a member of the Fidesz party and was re-elected as mayor in 2019 with a significant majority.
