Lars Løkke Rasmussen is a Danish politician currently serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and as the leader of the Moderates party. A long-standing figure in Danish politics, he has served as a member of the Folketing since 1994 and held the office of Prime Minister of Denmark for two non-consecutive terms between 2009 and 2011, and again from 2015 to 2019. Previously a prominent member of the Venstre party, he founded the centrist Moderates in 2021 with the goal of ending traditional bloc politics. Throughout his career, he has held various ministerial positions, including Minister of Finance and Minister of the Interior and Health, and has been a central architect of major Danish administrative and tax reforms.
