Lars Thunberg

Lars Thunberg was a Swedish priest, theologian, author, and translator. Born in 1928, he was ordained in 1954 for the Diocese of Västerås and later served as director of the Nordic Ecumenical Institute starting in 1967. A scholar of dogmatics, he held academic positions in Uppsala and Aarhus. Thunberg was also a prolific poet and hymn writer, contributing three hymns to the 1986 Swedish Hymnbook. He passed away in 2007.
