Lasha Talakhadze is a Georgian politician and world-renowned weightlifter who has served as a Member of the Parliament of Georgia since 2024. Widely regarded as one of the most dominant athletes in the history of weightlifting, he is a three-time Olympic gold medalist and a seven-time world champion in the super-heavyweight category. Beyond his athletic achievements, he was elected to the Georgian Parliament representing the Georgian Dream party. In 2025, he was also elected as the President of the Georgian Weightlifting Federation.
