LaTonya Johnson is an American politician and activist serving as a member of the Wisconsin State Senate, representing the 6th district since 2017. Before her election to the Senate, she served two terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly. A former president of AFSCME Local 502, Johnson has focused her legislative career on issues such as criminal justice reform, maternal health equity, and child safety, notably co-authoring the PRINCE Act to improve missing child alert systems. She is a graduate of Tennessee State University with a degree in criminal justice.
