Laurie Davies

Laurie Ann Davies is an American politician currently serving as a member of the California State Assembly, representing the 74th district. Before her election to the state legislature in 2020, she served on the Laguna Niguel City Council from 2012 to 2020, including terms as mayor in 2016 and 2020. Prior to her political career, she worked as a wedding planner. In the Assembly, she has been noted for her opposition to environmental regulations that would phase out natural gas appliances, arguing that such policies place an undue financial burden on working families.
