Prior to her election to the Senate, she served in the Florida House of Representatives representing the 40th district from 2022 to 2025. A graduate of Howard University and the Florida A&M University College of Law, she previously worked as a senior attorney for the Florida Department of Children and Families and as a director of community programming at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. She is the sister of former Florida state senator Randolph Bracy and resides in Ocoee, Florida.
