Lee Cheol-woo

Lee Cheol-woo is a South Korean politician currently serving as the Governor of North Gyeongsang Province, a position he has held since 2018. Before his tenure as governor, he served as a member of the National Assembly of South Korea for three consecutive terms representing Gimcheon. His career began as a middle school teacher, followed by over two decades of service with the National Intelligence Service. An advocate for regional revitalization, Lee has held various leadership roles, including chairman of the National Council of Governors. He is a member of the People Power Party and holds degrees from Kyungpook National University and Yonsei University.
