Leonore Gewessler

Leonore Gewessler is an Austrian politician and the federal spokesperson of The Greens. Since July 2025, she has served as the parliamentary group leader of the Green Party in the National Council. Previously, she held the position of Federal Minister for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology from 2020 to 2025. Before entering government, she was a prominent environmental activist, serving as the political director of the organization Global 2000 and as the founding director of the Green European Foundation.
