Lim Guan Eng is a Malaysian politician and accountant who currently serves as a Member of the Dewan Rakyat for the Bagan constituency and as a member of the Penang State Legislative Assembly for Air Putih. A prominent figure in the Democratic Action Party (DAP), he previously served as the Minister of Finance from 2018 to 2020 and as the 4th Chief Minister of Penang from 2008 to 2018. During his tenure as Chief Minister, he was noted for implementing the Competency, Accountability, and Transparency (CAT) governance model and overseeing significant economic growth in Penang. Before entering politics, he worked as a senior bank executive.
