Lorenz Gösta Beutin

Lorenz Gösta Beutin is a German politician representing The Left party. He currently serves as a member of the Bundestag for the state of Schleswig-Holstein, having previously held the seat from 2017 to 2021 before returning in 2025. Since May 2025, he has served as the head of the parliamentary committee on environment, protection of climate and nature, and nuclear safety. A historian by training, Beutin specializes in the history of National Socialism and anti-Semitism. Throughout his political career, he has focused on energy and climate policy, serving as a spokesman for his parliamentary group on these issues.
