Lothar Waehler is a German politician and member of the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt. Born in 1959 in Zeitz, he worked for many years as a heating and plumbing installer before entering politics. He joined the Alternative for Germany (AfD) in 2016 and currently serves as a local councilor in Gutenborn. In 2021, he won a direct mandate for the Zeitz constituency in the state election, becoming the only AfD candidate in Saxony-Anhalt to achieve a direct seat at that time.
