Lu Shiow-yen

Lu Shiow-yen is a Taiwanese politician and former television presenter who has served as the Mayor of Taichung since 2018. Before her mayoral tenure, she was a long-serving member of the Legislative Yuan and a member of the Taiwan Provincial Consultative Council. Early in her career, she worked as a journalist and director at the Chinese Television System, earning a Golden Bell Award in 1990. Lu holds a bachelor's degree in land administration from National Chengchi University and a master's degree in international affairs from Tamkang University.
