Lucian Braniște

Lucian Braniște is a Romanian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Vaslui. He assumed office on October 24, 2024, following his victory in the local elections held in June 2024, where he secured over 46% of the vote. Prior to his election as mayor, he served as the Deputy Mayor of Vaslui for four years, working alongside his predecessor Vasile Pavăl to gain administrative experience. A member of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), Braniște has focused his political agenda on local governance, including initiatives to address social issues such as the regulation of gambling halls within the city.
