Lucy Ines García Montes

Lucy Inés García Montes is a Colombian politician and bacteriologist who currently serves as the Governor of Sucre. Elected in the 2023 regional elections, she made history as the first woman to hold this office in the department. Prior to her governorship, she served as the Mayor of Sincé from 2016 to 2019. García Montes holds a background in public management and has focused her career on regional development and public administration within the Caribbean region of Colombia.
