Adriana Magali Matiz

Adriana Magali Matiz is a Colombian politician and lawyer who currently serves as the Governor of Tolima, having assumed office on January 1, 2024. She made history as the first woman elected to this position by popular vote in the department's history. Previously, she served as a member of the Chamber of Representatives of Colombia from 2018 to 2022, where she focused on legislative reforms and social issues. A graduate of the Universidad Santo Tomás with specializations in administrative and tax law, she has held various administrative roles, including serving as the comptroller of Ibagué. Throughout her career, she has been a prominent figure in regional politics, advocating for infrastructure investment and addressing security and environmental concerns within the Andean region.
