Luis Ernesto Munguía González

Luis Ernesto Munguía González is a Mexican politician currently serving as the Municipal President of Puerto Vallarta, having assumed office on September 30, 2024. An architect by training and graduate of the University of Guadalajara, he has held various public roles, including serving as a federal deputy in the LXIII Legislature and as a local deputy in the Congress of Jalisco. Throughout his career, he has focused on sustainable urban development, environmental protection, and the promotion of responsible tourism. Munguía previously served as a councilor in Puerto Vallarta and as the state president of the Ecologist Green Party of Mexico (PVEM) in Jalisco.
