Lukas Reimann is a Swiss politician and member of the Swiss People's Party (SVP). Born in 1982, he began his political career in 2004 as a member of the Cantonal Council of St. Gallen. In 2007, he was elected to the National Council, becoming the youngest member of the federal parliament at the time. Known for his radical-libertarian views, Reimann has been a vocal advocate for national sovereignty, notably leading the Campaign for an Independent and Neutral Switzerland and successfully sponsoring a motion to withdraw Switzerland's dormant EU membership application in 2016. He has also been a prominent figure in debates regarding immigration and cultural identity in Switzerland.
