Christian Lohr

Christian Lohr is a Swiss politician and member of the National Council representing the canton of Thurgau. Born in 1962, he studied economics at the University of Constance and pursued a career as a journalist and publisher. Lohr has been a prominent advocate for disability rights, having served as president of the Swiss disability sports group Plusport and as a board member for Pro Infirmis. He began his political career in the local council of Kreuzlingen in 1999 and served in the Thurgau legislature from 2000 to 2014. Lohr, who was born with physical disabilities due to the drug thalidomide, is recognized for his long-standing commitment to social policy and disability advocacy within the Swiss parliament.
