Lulzim Basha

Lulzim Basha is an Albanian politician and lawyer who has held several high-level government positions, including Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of the Interior, and Mayor of Tirana. He served as the chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania from 2013 to 2022, leading the opposition during a period of significant political polarization. A staunch advocate for Albania's European Union integration and Euro-Atlantic alignment, Basha later founded the Euroatlantic Democrats following an internal party split. His career has been marked by his involvement in major infrastructure projects, justice reform initiatives, and efforts to decriminalize Albanian politics.
