Pirro Vengu
Profile
Pirro Vengu is an Albanian politician serving as a Member of the Parliament of Albania representing Vlorë County, and previously served as the Minister of Defense of Albania from July 2024 to March 2026. Born in Elbasan, he studied human sciences, history, and philosophy in Paris at Lycée Henri-IV and Université Paris Nanterre, and international relations at INALCO. Prior to his election to parliament and cabinet service, Vengu worked at the European Council on Foreign Relations, served as head of the cabinet at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, directed anti-corruption efforts in the Prime Minister's Office, and managed the Durrës Port Authority.
