Lyn Brown is a British politician and life peer who has served as a member of the House of Lords since January 2025. Previously, she represented the West Ham constituency as a Member of Parliament for the Labour Party from 2005 to 2024. During her time in the House of Commons, she held several shadow ministerial roles, including Shadow Minister for Policing and Shadow Minister for Prisons and Probation. Before entering national politics, she worked as a social worker and served as a councillor for the London Borough of Newham.
