M. Dhanapal is an Indian politician and advocate currently serving as a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament of India, representing the state of Tamil Nadu. A member of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), he has a long history of public service, including a tenure as a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly representing the Thiruporur constituency from 1991 to 1996. He has also held the position of district chairman in Tamil Nadu.
