Prior to her political career, Bolinske gained public recognition as a pageant titleholder, having been crowned Miss North Dakota in 2016 and Miss North Dakota USA in 2020. She competed in both the Miss America 2017 and Miss USA 2020 pageants before transitioning into public service.
