Mallikarjun Kharge

Mallikarjun Kharge is an Indian politician and lawyer serving as the President of the Indian National Congress since 2022 and as the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha. A veteran legislator, he previously served as a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly for over three decades and held various ministerial portfolios in the state government. At the national level, he served as a Member of Parliament for Gulbarga and held Union Cabinet positions, including Minister of Railways and Minister of Labour and Employment. Known for his extensive experience in parliamentary affairs, he is a prominent figure in Indian politics and a key leader within the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance.
