
Manfred Wilde

Manfred Wilde is a German historian and local politician who has served as the Mayor of the city of Delitzsch since 2008. After training as an electrician and serving in the navy, he pursued academic studies in museology and history, eventually earning a doctorate and habilitation. Beyond his municipal duties, he is a reserve officer in the German Armed Forces, currently holding the rank of Captain at Sea, and has been actively involved in academic research regarding regional history and sustainability. He is also recognized for his contributions to the recognition of the cooperative idea as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
