Manuel Añorve Baños is a Mexican politician currently serving as a Senator representing the state of Guerrero. A long-time member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), he has held numerous public offices throughout his career, including two terms as the municipal president of Acapulco and two terms as a federal deputy. Educated at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) with degrees in law, he has also served in various administrative and advisory roles within the federal and state governments. He was re-elected to the Senate in 2024, continuing his tenure in the Mexican Congress.
