María Cuadros Espinoza

María Esther Cuadros Espinoza is a Peruvian educator and public official who served as the Minister of Education of Peru from March 17 to July 6, 2026, under the government of President José María Balcázar. Prior to her ministerial appointment, she held the position of Vice Minister of Pedagogical Management at the Ministry of Education. Her tenure as minister was marked by controversy regarding the reduction of scholarship coverage and a political confrontation with the Congress over her attempt to remove the head of the National Superintendence of Higher University Education (Sunedu), which ultimately led to her irrevocable resignation.
