María Guardiola

María Guardiola is a Spanish politician serving as the President of the Autonomous Government of Extremadura since 2023. A member of the People's Party, she previously served as a city councillor in Cáceres from 2015 to 2022. Before entering elected office, she worked for over two decades as a civil servant within the Government of Extremadura. Guardiola holds degrees in Business Administration and Management and Business Sciences from the University of Extremadura. As a regional leader, she has navigated complex coalition negotiations with the Vox party and has advocated for fiscal reforms in the region.
