María Isa Pérez-Vega

María Isa Pérez-Vega is an American politician and musician serving in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2023, representing District 65B. A member of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, she has been a prominent figure in the Twin Cities hip-hop scene and an advocate for immigrant rights, notably co-leading the 'Driver's Licenses for All' legislation. Born in Saint Paul to parents of Puerto Rican heritage, she graduated from Columbia College Chicago. Pérez-Vega has also been active in humanitarian efforts for Puerto Rico and community organizing, and she continues to integrate her artistic career with her legislative work.
