Marc Chavent is a French politician serving as a member of the National Assembly for the 5th constituency of Ain since 2024. Before his election to parliament, he served as the mayor of Cerdon starting in 2020 and previously worked as a parliamentary assistant. Politically, he was formerly a member of the UMP and later joined the Reconquête party. In the 2024 legislative elections, he ran under the banner of the Union of the Right for the Republic, an alliance supported by Éric Ciotti and the National Rally.
