François Rebsamen

François Rebsamen is a French politician who currently serves as the President of Dijon Métropole. A long-time figure in French politics, he served as the Mayor of Dijon for several terms between 2001 and 2024. Throughout his career, he has held significant national roles, including Minister of Labour, Employment, and Social Dialogue under the Valls government, and Senator for the Côte-d'Or department. Originally a prominent member of the Socialist Party, he later broke with the party to support Emmanuel Macron and founded the Progressive Federation. His political career is marked by his focus on urban development, including the construction of the Dijon tramway, and his extensive experience in local and national governance.
