Marcel Dettling

Marcel Dettling is a Swiss politician and farmer who has served as a member of the Swiss National Council since 2015. In March 2024, he was unanimously elected as the president of the Swiss People's Party, having previously served as the party's vice president. Before his election to the federal parliament, Dettling was a member of the Cantonal Council of Schwyz from 2008 to 2015. Politically, he is associated with the conservative wing of his party, focusing his platform on strict opposition to migration and skepticism toward the European Union.
